Editorial standards & corrections
Sourcing
We report only from complete source articles or documents that are freely accessible and that site rules permit us to read. We prioritise original announcements, planning documents and project press releases. We do not bypass paywalls or access restrictions, and we skip stories when a full source is not available.
Original reporting
Each article has its own structure and wording. We do not rewrite sources sentence by sentence or reproduce substantial passages. Quotations are used sparingly, reproduced exactly and attributed. We never invent facts, quotations or technical details.
Accuracy
We distinguish between proposals, planning submissions, approvals, funded projects, construction starts and completed works. Analysis is labelled separately from confirmed facts. Publication and meaningful update dates are shown on every story, with links to sources.
Use of AI
Research and drafting are AI-assisted and subject to automated checks for duplication and accuracy; flagged stories are held for human review. Article images are created with AI in a consistent house photographic style. They show representative, generic scenes rather than the actual sites, buildings or people in a story, never reproduce real brands or landmarks, and are marked as AI-generated in each page’s machine-readable data.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact the publisher via dare-me.co.uk. Significant corrections are made promptly and noted on the article with an update line.
